In the midst of all the noise, the rush, and the endless responsibilities, it’s easy to forget something so simple, so essential; breathing.
Not just the automatic kind, but the mindful kind. Long, deep breaths. A pause. And then, a big sigh.
The world can feel heavy. Life can get overwhelming. The weight of your own responsibilities, mixed with the burdens of the world around you, might sometimes feel like too much to carry.
But I implore you—please, keep breathing.
When it gets loud, breathe.
When it feels like too much, breathe.
When you don’t know what else to do, just breathe.
It won’t solve everything, but it will ground you. And sometimes, that’s enough to get through the next moment.
Try This Simple Breathing Exercise:
- Sit or stand comfortably.
- Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 counts… 1… 2… 3… 4.
- Hold your breath for 4 counts… 1… 2… 3… 4.
- Exhale slowly through your mouth for 4 counts… 1… 2… 3… 4.
- Repeat 3–5 times, or as long as you need.
Let your breath be your anchor; steady, present, and always with you.
